This is about kids who are invisible in their school and to the teachers and kids because they speak a different language. No one notices them until they do something really nice and work together.

Beautiful simplicity, and a great depiction of school-age nerd fandom culture in small communities. I always love to revisit these.

Another entertaining entry in this Amish series. The murder weapon here was different from any I have seen used before - a big cuckoo falling from a giant cuckoo clock!! An Amish proverb I enjoyed from this book: 'One thing you can learn by watching the clock is that it passes time by keeping its hands busy.'

Magical Midlife Madness is a fun, fast-paced read with a great mix of humor, mystery, and magic. The main character is relatable, and watching her embrace a surprising new chapter of life is both entertaining and empowering. The witty dialogue and quirky supernatural elements keep the story engaging from beginning to end, making it a perfect choice for readers who enjoy lighthearted paranormal fantasy with plenty of laughs.

The latest Mary Russell and Sherlock Holmes adventure is a fun read that starts in England and goes to Ireland to solve a Russell family mystery and find a long-lost heirloom. The characters are well-developed and the author gives a great sense of the different settings they journey to. A fast-paced read and quite enjoyable!

I enjoyed reading the teacher. It was an easy read. There were multiple plot twist that kept me guessing until the end. Through out the book my opinion on certain characters changed due to their actions that made them more or less likable once you knew the entire story.

Courting Can Be Killer - Amish Matchmaker #2

Another fun, light read for hot and hazy summer nights! I continue to find this Amish Country series set in the great state of Ohio to be entertaining. I particularly love the various animal characters [rambunctious goats, cute kittens, dependable buggy horses] and the two mystery-solving elderly [mid-60s] women [one who is Amish{Millie-AKA Amish Marple} and one who is an Englischer{Lois}]. I most look forward to the words of wisdom that that Millie drops throughout the stories and the various antics of Peter and Philip [Boer goats] .

The Brothers McKay - Walt Longmire #22
by Craig Johnson

The newest book featuring Walt Longmire, long time sheriff of Absaroka County Wyoming, was highly entertaining. I especially liked the parallels to Dostoevsky's 'The Brothers Karamazov'. The terrible wildfires were nerve-wracking, but interesting. Borax [the 16 hands tall john mule] played an instrumental role in the survival of the sheriff - he was one of my favorite characters. Fun read!!
