I really enjoyed this book and was kept guessing as to what happened until almost the end. There were many sad moments but it was overall a very positive read.

The Inmate
by Freida McFadden

Read like a YA novel and if there’s only so many characters in the book, picking the killer isn’t hard when you know Freida’s twists. Boring and immature!

Murder Takes Root
by Rosie Sandler

I used this book for the agricultural [farming/gardening] Brutus Bingo square and found it to be a fun read. This is my first exposure to anything by Sandler - I especially enjoyed the British setting and the language differences from the English spoken here in the States. I also enjoyed the restoration gardening project and learning more about orchids. My favorite characters had to be the cats and dogs!!

You Can't Hurt Me
by Emma Cook

Tried a new (to me author) Emma Cook . She had a deep emotional writing style. She wrote from more than one perspective and intertwined them nicely. This book had some twists and turns not all were necessarily easy to unravel.

Some Choose Darkness
by Charlie Donlea

This is the first in the new Rory Moore/Lane Phillips series. I have now read all of Charlie Donlea's crime thrillers and they do not disappoint. Rory is a forensic reconstructionist and her work with cold case homicides is remarkable!! I liked the use of multiple timelines and POVs and was intrigued by her restoration of porcelain dolls.

Friends Lovers And The Big Terrible Thing.
by MATTHEW. PERRY

This was more of an advertisement for AA or NA than a memoir. Very repetitive and boring.
